Production on Tires season three is underway in West Chester, Penn., and with it comes a new overall Netflix deal for Shane Gillis and John McKeever, who has (until this point at least) professionally gone by just “McKeever.”

The duo will develop film, series and unscripted projects for the streamer, and Gillis will add two new Netflix stand-up comedy specials.

Tires stars Shane Gillis, Steve Gerben, Stavros Halkias, Kilah Fox and Chris O’Connor. For the 12-episode third season, season two guest star Thomas Haden Church, who plays Shane’s dad, will be promoted to series regular.

“Shane Gillis’ unapologetic comedy and knack for finding humor in everyday life is what sets him apart. With Tires, he and John McKeever have turned that same raw, unfiltered energy into a show that feels familiar to many people,” Tracey Pakosta, vp, comedy series at Netflix, said in a statement. “We’re excited for our continued partnership which means bringing more of their irreverent comedy to audiences around the world.”

“Working with Netflix is great and it’ll be cool to shoot season 3 of Tires soon,” Gillis said.

Classic Shane.

“Netflix has been nothing but creatively supportive of us,” McKeever said. “We have a few projects we’re excited to make under the Dad Sick banner and thankfully, it’s too late for them to back out.”

Gillis’ first Netflix comedy special was 2023’s Beautiful Dogs. He’ll debut one of those two new stand-up specials later in 2026. Beautiful Dogs was the first Dad Sick production.

Tires follows Will (Gerben), the nervous and unqualified heir to an auto repair chain, who attempts to turn his father’s business around despite constant torture from his cousin and now employee, Shane (Gillis). It is art imitating life where life takes places: Tires films on location next to one of Gerben’s real-life dad’s real-life tire shops. Gillis bought out and built out the store next door, turning a Westchester strip mall half into into a Hollywood set.

Gillis, McKeever and Gerben created the series together. They executive produce alongside Brandon James for Rough House (Danny McBride’s production company), Brian Stern and Kenneth Slotnick for AGI Entertainment Media & Management and Becky Astphan. McKeever directs.
