Directed by her Southside-Irish blood relatives, Bart and Liam Winters, Maggie Winters’ debut solo show Marguerite will explore her life, her laugh and her love! Throughout this hour-long journey, Maggie will tackle difficult subjects like depression and body image, while also ranting about Subway meatballs and her four-year abstinence from drinking water (all while tying this in with her deep-rooted Chicago heritage)!
Marguerite is the second stand-up special among a growing slate of projects to come from the partnership between Abso Lutely Productions (the trailblazing production company launched by Tim Heidecker, Eric Wareheim, and Dave Kneebone) and Upright Citizens Brigade (one of the most influential incubators of comedic talent ever), who first united in 2023. The special was filmed at the UCB Theatre in Los Angeles, long regarded as one of the premier venues for live comedy.
Maggie Winters is a Chicago-fried comedian turned internet personality best known under the moniker @saggiesplinters. With training through both Second City and iO Chicago, Maggie has successfully transitioned her talents to online, stage and television.
In 2023, Maggie was named as a Stand-Up New Face at the Just for Laughs Festival, a ‘Comic to Watch’ by Vulture Magazine, and made her first TV appearance recurring on Season 3 of HBO’s ‘The Righteous Gemstones’ opposite Adam Devine and Tony Cavalero. She then followed this up in 2024 by touring her debut solo show Marguerite across the United States before taking it to Edinburgh Fringe as a month-long run through promoter AEG.
Following her Fringe run, Maggie partnered with comedy producers Abso Lutely and UCB to film the solo show as the special you can watch above! In 2025, Maggie was featured as part of the Amazon stand-up showcase ‘Iliza’s Locals’ and released her debut podcast series ‘Literally Life Changing’ with comedy producers Stapleview. In the live space, Maggie has performed with the likes of Iliza Shlesinger, Fortune Feimster, Connor Wood, Brett Goldstein, Paul F. Tompkins, Hannah Einbinder, Matt Rogers and many more.
