Comedy Gives Back, the non-profit working to provide a safety net for the comedy community, has set the lineup for Alt Comedy All-Stars 2026, a benefit show to take place at The Montálban Theatre in Los Angeles on April 22.
The evening will feature Bob Odenkirk and the cast of Mr. Show, along with Patton Oswalt, Mary Lynn Rajskub, Laura Kightlinger, and other special guests to be announced.
100% of ticket sales support the organization’s mission of providing financial crisis relief, mental health therapy, chemical dependency treatment sponsorship, and community support for stand-up comedians.
Tickets will be available via an artist pre-sale starting Wednesday, March 11th, with additional pre-sales running during the week ahead of the general on sale starting Friday, March 13th at 10 a.m. local.
In a statement on the event, Comedy Gives Back co-founders, Amber J Lawson, Zoe Friedman and Jodi Lieberman said, “Behind every punchline is a person. This benefit showcases incredible talent while reinforcing our core mission: ensuring that no comedian faces hardship alone. When co-founding Comedy Gives Back we always had the vision of comedians helping comedians and this event is that idea put into action. It’s a chance to turn laughter into tangible help for members of our community who need it most.”
Calling stand-up “This weird, wonderful path where each generation learns from the ones who came before,” Oswalt said, “You grind it out in clubs, you bomb, you get better, and somewhere along the way a community forms. Events like Alt Comedy All-Stars remind us that we’re all part of the same ecosystem, and supporting Comedy Gives Back means helping that ecosystem survive.”
Odenkirk told us, “As a proud member of the comedy community I want to support comedians in need. I’m honored to be a part of the third annual Alt Comedy All-Stars and lend my support to Comedy Gives Back.”
Rajskub said, for her part, “Comedy Gives Back does incredible work supporting comedians when they need it most. I’m proud to lend my voice, and a few jokes, to a night that’s all about showing up for the comedy community.”
Comedy Gives Back’s Alt Comedy All-Stars 2026 is produced by Comedy Gives Back Board Member Dave Rath and Comedy Gives Back.
Comedy Gives Back has granted hundreds of thousands of dollars to working comedians experiencing hardships since 2019. The non-profit has also hosted recovery meetings at festivals such as Netflix Is a Joke, Just for Laughs Montreal and the Moontower Comedy Festival, sponsored mental health services for dozens of comedians, and paid for chemical dependency residential treatment.
Their mission statement: “Being alone on stage is the job of the stand-up comedian. Feeling alone off-stage is unacceptable.”
