Stand-up comedian Jack Assadourian Jr., better known as Jack Jr., is bringing his multicultural upbringing, family stories, and signature comedic perspective to the forefront with Mexican Armenian, his upcoming comedy special premiering September 17 on the JACKJRCOMIC YouTube channel.
The newly released trailer offers audiences a first look at the special, with Jack Jr. sharing a hilarious story about his father’s unique parenting style — including his apparent inability to give hugs — before diving into the cultural identity that has helped shape both his life and comedy.
Proudly Mexican and Armenian, Jack Jr. jokes about living at the intersection of two distinct cultures and even coins his own term, “Arx,” to describe the one-of-a-kind fusion of his heritage.
Directed by comedian Jeremiah Watkins and produced by Watkins alongside Miles Williams, Mexican America was filmed at the historic Alex Theatre in Glendale, California, bringing the project home to Assadourian’s hometown.
With more than 400,000 followers across social media, Jack Jr. has continued to establish himself as one of stand-up comedy’s rising talents. He has performed at Netflix Is a Joke Fest and appeared on entertainment platforms including Netflix, Prime Video, and Hulu.
