Disney is betting big on standup comedy with Hularious, their new comedy brand. Earlier this month, they announced the first comedy special on Hularious—Jim Gaffigan’s The Skinny—which will drop on 22 November and be available on Hulu in the United States and on Disney+ internationally. Now it’s announced a full comedy slate for the next year, with one new special set to release every month.
Ilana Glazer will release her sophomore comedy special under the Hularious brand on 20 December, followed by Roy Woods Jr’s Lonely Flowers on 17 January 2025 and Chris Distefano’s It’s Just Unfortunate on 21 February 2025.
Other comedians signed up to deliver one-hour comedy specials include Bill Burr, Andrew Santino, Jessica Kirson, Matteo Lane, Sebastian Maniscalco, Zarna Garg, and Atsuko Okatsuka.
As part of the initiative, Hulu also licenses previously released comedy specials from 800 Pound Gorilla, Comedy Dynamics and Don’t Tell Comedy. See the full slate of original specials, as reported by WhatsOnDisneyPlus.com, below.
