2025 Motor City Comedy Festival Set For Sept. 17th-21st

The 2025 Motor City Comedy Festival is a multi-day showcase of rising and established comedy talent in Detroit.

Since its 2017 launch, the festival’s mission has been bridging established headliners with emerging comedians worldwide for networking, exposure, and craft development.

This year’s festival will feature some of the funniest comics across the nation, from headliners like Sam Tallent, Steph Tolev, and “Animal Control” star Michael Rowland to Detroit’s own Mike Bonner, Coco, and Adam Fynke. The event will take place September 17th – 21st with locations including Detroit House of Comedy, The Independent Comedy Club in Hamtramck, and Detroit Shipping Company in Hazel Park.

Thursday, Sep 18 – Detroit House of Comedy w/ Steph Tolev – Netflix special “Friends Who Kill,” recognized by Vulture, Comedy Central series credits.

Friday, Sep 19 – Detroit House of Comedy w/ Michael Roweland – Known for FOX sitcom Animal Control, Just For Laughs New Face 2022 and Luke Severeid – Seattle comedian with awards at comedy competitions; absurd, high-energy style.

Saturday, Sep 20 – Detroit House of Comedy w/ Ehsan Ahmad & Deric Poston – Rising voices with affiliations to Rogan’s Comedy Mothership and global touring.

Sunday, Sep 21 – Detroit House of Comedy w/ Miranda Meadows, Adam Fynke & Alan Peterson – Detroit‑area talents making waves nationally, streaming specials & viral content.

Detroit House of Comedy events are served with food and drink; The Independent has a cash bar, Detroit Shipping Co. is limited seating and pay-on-site entry. Downtown Detroit venues have paid nearby lots; Hamtramck and Hazel Park venues have limited free parking. General ticket prices around $10–$25 depending on the show.
