Comedian Kountry Wayne is set to release his sophomore special, Nostalgia, on Prime Video on March 23rd.
With his new special, Wayne aims to capture that ’90s feel — that funny, raw, fun, hard, Def Jam-style of comedy — while at the same time offering informational, truthful, and enlightening moments, as he presents material about his kids, relationships, love, and family.
Nostalgia comes on the heels of Wayne’s 2023 debut, A Woman’s Prayer, which premiered at No. 1 on Netflix and has accrued over 5.2m views to date, per the streamer’s What We Watched reports. His new hour is produced by Amazon MGM Studios and Rotten Science. Wayne exec produced alongside Matthew Vaughan, Jeff Tomsic, Josh Pearl and Molly Mandel.
Kountry Wayne (aka DeWayne Colley) is a comic who has greatly expanded his audience in recent years, accruing over 18 million followers across platforms and over 1.2 billion views on Facebook alone with his often-viral comedic content.
On television, Wayne can be seen in the Taika Waititi series Time Bandits on Apple TV. In film, he just wrapped the indie comedy That’s Her, which he produced alongside Stephen Love, also co-writing and starring.
Wayne debuted his first book Help Is On The Way: Stay Up and Live Your Truth, a self-help and humor book offering life lessons on perseverance, faith, and hustle, in 2023. Currently on his nationwide tour, the Workout Tour.
