On episode 4 of We Own The Laughs w/ Tyson Paul, Bay Area comedian Aivy Cordova sits down with Tyson as they talk about Aivy’s early comedy/party girl nights that almost ended everything, how bad planning brought her back to stand-up, her son not being a fan of her popularity, saving a famous comedy club with Dave Chappelle, along with her thoughts on being a hard-working woman in comedy. Aivy Cordova is originally from Hayward, CA, Aivy (it’s pronounced “Ivy”) began her stand-up career in San Francisco. After a 7-year hiatus to raise her son, she returned to the stage in 2016 and now performs regularly at venues throughout the Bay Area and Southern California, including Cobb’s, Punch Line (SF and Sacramento), and HaHa Comedy Club. She has trained at Bindlestiff Studio in San Francisco, where she was a member of sketch comedy team Granny Cart Gangstas from 2013 to 2015, and the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre (Sunset) in Los Angeles. Aivy helped save the world-famous Punchline SF alongside Dave Chappelle in 2019 and was featured on the 1st season of We Own The Laughs now available on YouTube.
