Sad In The City is a new podcast by comedian Taylor Tomlinson as she gives us a realistic look at life in our 20’s & 30’s. Between touring every weekend and living bicoastal, Taylor takes you through her journey of moving to and living in New York City.

This week, Taylor shows Brianna some of her favorite Main Characters Tik Toks and they devise a plan to become influencers.

For the past couple of years, Taylor Tomlinson has seen her career grow from headlining Tuesday bar shows in North Hollywood, California to theater tours all over the U.S. with Netflix being there to film it every step of the way.

Netflix first introduced Taylor Tomlinson in 2018 as part of their The Comedy Lineup comedy series, a rapid-fire series of 15-minute stand-up performances. After that performance, her star would begin to rise as Variety would name her one of “Top 10 Comics to Watch” at the 2019 Just For Laughs Comedy Festival. This would lead to various late-night stand-up performances for the Temecula, California comedian including appearances on ConanThe Tonight Show w/ Jimmy Fallon, and Late Night w/ Seth Meyers

Prior to the entertainment stoppage caused by the COVID-19 global pandemic, Tomlinson was touring alongside Whitney Cummings as part of the Codependent Tour in 2020. Stuck at home along with the rest of the world, Taylor managed to stay relevant in the world of comedy with her weekly podcast Self-Helpless with stand-up comics Kelsey Cook and Delanie Fischer.

Once travel restrictions and safety protocols were eased in early 2021, Tomlinson went back on the road, this time as the solo act on her first nationwide theater tour. With featured acts Irene Tu and Dustin Nickerson, Tomlinson’s Deal With It Tour would arguably become the biggest comedy tour of the year beginning in early September and going on to add more than 27 tour dates that will go through summer 2022.

Tomlinson joins a star-studded group of elite stand-up comedians that Netflix has recently announced new stand-up comedy specials set to premiere on the streaming service in 2022.
