Every year at Just For Laughs, they hold their annual Just For Laughs Awards, where they honor some of the most popular and biggest comics out today. And now, we’ve got our first look at the Award recipients.
Amy Schumer: Comedy Person of the Year
Hasan Minhaj: Stand-Up Comedian of the Year
Taylor Tomlinson: Breakout Comedy Star of the Year
Jerrod Carmichael: Comedy Special of the Year for Rothaniel
Additional recipients will be announced as the Awards – which will take place on July 29th at the Double Tree – get closer.
They’ve also announced Keynote Addresses from Neal Brennan, Amanda Seales, and Sophie Buddle. Plus they’ve announced podcasts from their COMEDYPRO series including You Made It Weird, Off Menu, Chrissy Chaos, That’s Messed Up, Rogue Therapy, Dear Owen Wilson, Find Your Beach, Honestea with Z, My Momma told Me, Obsessed, Robert Kelly’s YKWD! and The Juice.

Every year, comedians from all over gather to Just For Laughs in Montreal for one of the biggest comedy festivals in the world. This year is no different, as the festival is bringing more in person events back after the pandemic. And this year they’re celebrating their 40th anniversary.
Just For Laughs will host a series of concerts, solo shows, galas, and club series, with Just For The Culture starting everything off on July 13 at MTelus.
Fans can catch Kevin Hart (July 29), Bill Burr (July 30), John Mulaney (July 28), and Hasan Minhaj (July 29) during their solo stand-up shows at various venues across Montreal.
