The Patrice O’Neal Benefit returns to New York for its 10th year.

The event will be held at New York City Center on April 4th at 7:30PM. Once again, friends of the late Patrice O’Neal will host a show in honor of the influential comedian who passed away too soon in 2011.

Beginning his comedy career in the Boston area in 1992, Patrice O’Neal would become well-known for his regular guest appearances on the talk show Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn and the radio show Opie and Anthony.

After several years in Boston, O’Neal moved to Los Angeles and toured Australia and England, before settling in New York City. From 2006 to 2008, O’Neal presented The Black Phillip Show on XM Satellite Radio. In 2010, O’Neal filmed his only hour-length comedy special, Elephant in the Room.

Right after his passing, Bill Burr led a group of Patrice’s friends to put on a show that would raise money for the comedian’s family and it’s become an annual benefit ever since (save for a year off due to COVID).

While there’s always been some great names attached in the past, this year definitely feels like a pretty spectacular lineup. Included this year is Mo Amer, Bill Burr, Shane Gillis, Robert Kelly, Eleanor Kerrigan, Jim Norton, Keith Robinson, Coogan Sounds, Ricky Velez, and Rich Vos.

Tickets are on sale starting today and they will more than likely go pretty fast as they usually do.
