Comedian and actor Shane Gillis just break a major record after his performance at the KFC Yum! Center in Louisville last Friday.
In a news release on Monday, the venue said his sold out show “reflects his fast rise to mainstream fame.”
More than 14,500 fans showed up to Gillis’ stop in Louisville, earning his spot as the KFC Yum! Center’s highest-grossing comedy show ever.
The record was previously set by Kevin Hart in November 2022.
“Shane Gillis’ brand of fearless humor has resonated with a massive fan base, helping him cross over into large-scale venues,” KFC Yum! officials said. “His sold-out stop in Louisville is the latest sign of a broader trend in comedy: arena-sized shows are quickly becoming the norm for top performers.”
KFC Yum! Center said two more comedy acts are coming to Louisville later this year: Nate Bargatze will perform on Oct. 5 and Katt Williams is scheduled to perform on Nov. 7.
Earlier this year, Gillis hosted the 2025 ESPY Awards. He’s also the star and co-creator of Netflix’s “Tires,” and the voice behind “Matt and Shane’s Secret Podcast,” which is one of the most popular comedy podcasts in the world, officials said.
Gillis will also be appearing on the big screen with Christian Bale and Nicolas Cage in Madden.
